Biography
Dr. Xudong Huang has completed his PhD from MIT and postdoctoral studies from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS). He is the Co-Director of Neurochemistry Lab, Psychiatry Department of MGH, a world leading hospital. He has published more than 90 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as the Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Biomedical Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (IJBNN). In addition, Dr. Huang has served as a manuscript reviewer for more than 50 research journals and a grant reviewer for private foundations and government agencies including Alzheimer’s Association, American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR), and NIH.
Research Interest
Dr. Huang’s major research activities and achievements are centered upon: (i) drug discovery using artificial intelligence (AI)-powered virtual drug screening and cell-based high throughput screening (HTS) techniques; (ii) validating potential correlation of environmental stressors such as exposure of metals and metal oxide nanoparticles with neurodegeneration using in vivo molecular imaging modalities; (iii) exploring novel biomedical big data analytics in gene expression clustering, genomics data analysis, and imaging data classification using clinical data, machine learning (ML) methods such as support vector machine (SVM), and deep learning (DL) algorithms such as convolutional neural networks (CNN).
