Biography
Dr Chakraborty is Associate professor at the Department of Biotechnology, Vidyasagar University of West Bengal, India. He did PhD in Biochemistry in 1990 from CU and postdoctoral from UCBerkeley at USA. He went to Johns Hopkins School of Medicine as visiting Faculty and visiting scientist at Creighton School of Medicine. He published forty distinguished papers and research articles and members of many societies. His current research is Bacterial mdr genes and Herbal drug design against superbugs.
Research Interest
Genetic mechanisms of multi-drug resistance in superbugs. Characterization of novel transcription factors useful for cancer diagnostics. Plant alkaloids targeting DNA topoisomerases and TFs of Pathogens.
